The 2017 MCPS Golf Invite teed off today at the Missoula Country Club with teams from throughout Western Montana which included Class A and Class A schools.
On a course that was lined with trees that kept shots tight, the prep golfers worked their way through the 18 hole Juggernaut. At the end of day one it would be a Class A school that would lead the boys in the Polson Pirates with a 319, two strokes ahead of the Sentinel Spartans. On the girls side of the tee the Capital Bruins lead all teams with a combined score of 396, one stroke ahead of the Helena Bengals.
Day two will be played out Tuesday at Canyon River with tee time scheduled for 8:30 am.
