Today officially kicks off the 2021 fall sports season as the Big Sky, Hellgate, and Sentinel golf teams head to Great Falls for the season opener at Meadowlark Golf Course.
The Sentinel boys and girls are coming off a successful 2020 season after the boys took home both the team and individual titles last fall. On the boys side they will return a solid group for the fall season while the girls will have a strong core of golfers returning to via for a state title this fall.
From the Hellgate golfers we have seen a steady growth in the right direction over the past few seasons with younger and younger players joining the Knights to strengthen their hardened group of players from the previous year.
On the Big Sky front the Eagles will be playing under the guidance of second year head coach John Heaney who helped develop the Eagles into a strong team in 2020. Expect the players from Big Sky improve and fight for a voice in the city ranks this fall.
The two day event in Great Falls will tee off today at Meadowlark at 1:00 pm, and then move to Eagle Falls Tuesday morning with tee time set for 9:00 am. The Missoula schools will be home next week to host the Missoula invite at both Larchmont and Canyon River golf courses on Monday and Tuesday.
