Mav’s Win Monday Make Up Game

The Missoula Mavericks would make a special trip to Helena on Monday night to make up a game against the Senators. The two teams were scheduled to play May 17th, but due to a winter storm moving through Montana the teams were not able to play the game.
It would be a heavy fifth inning for the Mavs that would make the difference in order to get the win. Missoula would use two of their top pitchers to hold off the Senators with Dylan Barkley getting the nod to open up the game. Nick Yovetich would come in from center field and finish off Helena in the sixth inning, including holding off a rally in the bottom of the ninth when Helena would put up two runs to pull within two runs of the Mavericks.
The Mavericks will host the Bitterroot Bucs on Wednesday night before taking to the road for an eight game stand, including the opening of conference play on Saturday against the Billings Royals in a doubleheader.
