Very few student athletes get the chance to continue their sports career beyond high school but this years Missoula Mavericks senior class has a strong group moving on to the collegiate level.
Maverick left fielder Sam Bucy joins one of the largest classes from Sentinel high school who will get the opportunity to continue playing baseball. Bucy is a proven glove in the outfield with a cannon for an arm that is complimented by consistent play at the plate.
Sam will be joining Maverick pitcher Drew Leonard at the University of Sioux Falls where he will earn a degree while locking down the left field for the Cougars. Bucy talks about being part of the group of Mavs moving on, “It’s pretty special because we have a really great class this year and I can’t wait to see what we do”
Sam will finish out his senior year at Sentinel and will make his home in left field for the Mavs this summer before he starts the next chapter of his sports career.
