Local Umpire Selected To The 2019 Little League Softball World Series

One of Western Montana’s finest officials, and a mentor to many junior athletes in Missoula has been honored by The Little League International to umpire the 2019 Little League Softball World Series this summer.

Max E .Cannon Jr. was nominated by his Regional Director April Meehleder due to his commitment to service in the community with our youth, which has led to Max being selected by the LLI to represent Montana for the Western Region and Montana District 2 to officiate one of the most prestigious events in all of junior sports.

Cannon has been trying to grow the officiating community in Western Montana for the majority of time as an official by working with the Little League outreach clinics in the spring while officiating multiple sports throughout the year. Max continuously tries to help our youth on a variety of levels as he is a figure in stripes on the youth basketball court,  works tirelessly through the spring and summer behind the scenes with Mount Sentinel Little League Baseball, and still finds time umpire Legion Baseball games.

Max will join his counterparts who have been selected to officiate the series August 7th-14th in Portland Oregon where the 2019 Little League Softball World Series will be held.
