Participating in a sport that is centered around supporting other sports, the Big Sky cheerleaders participated in the largest high school competition in the state of Montana, CheerFest 2019.
The Eagle cheer squad attended their first CheerFest in the programs history on March 15th where they competed against 19 other cheer and dance programs from around the state. Big Sky returned home with hardware as the Eagles would take second place in the Class AA Performance, second place in the Class AA/A All Girls Stunt Group, and first place in the All Girl Basket Toss.
This years CheerFest, which was held in Lewistown at the Fergus high school, was the 10th annual event hosted by the group. In all 235 cheerleaders, dancers, and mascots from 19 cheer and dance teams participated with ages ranging from junior high to high school from across Montana. Representatives from Montana’s major college cheer programs where in attendance to help with judging, hosted informational and recruiting booths, and held performances to show off their programs to the junior high and high school athletes.
