Missoula Loyola Sacred Heart graduate and current University of Montana women’s golfer Kylie Esh dominated prep golf in her career at Loyola, but has elevated her game in her first season as a Lady Griz golfer.
After her family moved to Missoula the summer between her sophomore and junior year, Esh made her presence known in Montana high school golf right out of the gate in humble yet dominate fashion. Esh came out her first year in Class B golf and silently played her way to the top of the rankings where she earned herself back to back state titles before graduating from Loyola.
Fast forward to the 2018-2019 Big Sky Conference golf season and once again the humble golfer is making her mark, only this time at the collegiate level. The Montana freshman has shot in the 70’s in five of the eight regular season events she has played in since the fall of 2018. Coming off her last regular season event on Monday and Tuesday where she shot a three round 224 (78, 72, 74), Esh looks to be peaking at the right time with the Big Sky Conference tournament coming up.
Esh and the rest of the Montana Women’s golf team will head to Boulder Nevada nest week where they will fight for a conference championship April 19th through the 21st.
