Big Sky 2-1
Loyola 1-2
Sentinel 1-2
Hellgate 0-3
With smoke filling the Missoula Valley, all high school football teams would be on the road and only the Sentinel Spartans would come away with a win.
The only game scheduled in Missoula on Friday night would be relocated to Butte as the Sentinel Spartans would pick up their first win of the season over the Great Falls Bison. Leading 15-0 at the half over the Bison, the Spartans would go on to allow a single touchdown in the third quarter to pull off the 28-6 win.
The Big Sky eagles would go on the road for the first time in 2017 and fall 29-22 to the CMR Rustlers. The Eagles would go into the game off a last second touchdown to beat the Sentinel Spartans, and hoped to ride the momentum into Great Falls. CMR had different plans and sent the Eagles home with their first lose of the season.
The Loyola Rams faced their toughest challenge of the season Friday night as they took to the road to play the Fairfield Eagles. The Rams held off Shelby last week to pick up their first win of the season despite having drives die out inside the Coyote 30 yard line. Fairfield would flex its defensive muscle to keep Loyola in check and give the Rams a 34-10 lose.
The Hellgate Knights hoped on the bus for the first time this season to face a polished Helena Bengals and suffered their hardest lose of the season falling 67-6. Though the Knights have lost their first three games, Hellgate has been able to build on positives each week to point them in the right direction.
