Mavs Split Opening Day With Chargers

To open the 2019 season the Missoula Mavericks played host to the Great Falls Chargers in a doubleheader and the Mavericks would finish the day splitting the games, falling in game one to the Chargers, and then bouncing back to take game two.

The first game was a high paced juggernaut of player rotation for the Mavs as coach Hathaway would play all of his team. Despite the heavy rotation Missoula would only cause a single error, but could not get into a rhythm at the plate to earn runs.

In the second game the Mavericks would put their pitchers on a two inning rotation each while playing a lineup of the younger players. With a consistent set in the opening four innings the Mavericks would light up their bats and earn runs at ease to come away with the win.
