For the second straight season the Loyola Rams will play for a Western Divisional title in Class B boys basketball to go down Saturday night from the Ronan Activities Center.
Loyola entered the divisional tournament as the number one seed, finding themselves on the opposite side of the bracket as the returning champion Bigfork Vikings. Pulling the final team to make the tournament in the Florence Falcons to open the divisional Loyola would walk past the Falcons in the opening round. Moving on to the semi-final round the Rams would face Deer Lodge, the only other team outside of Loyola to beat Bigfork, and once again the Rams would out pace their opponents to pick up the win.
Last season the Rams would play for the divisional championship against the Bigfok Vikings who went on to claim the state title. This season Loyola had a full week of rest before the divisional tournament began, and have the strongest senior class on the court and on the bench. Playing top level basketball at the right time of the season the Rams hold the ability to go into the state tournament as the number one seed out of the west for Class B basketball in the palm of their hand.
