Rustlers vs Eagles Preview

An East West basketball showdown between schools that are on the rise in Class AA basketball will play out Thursday night as the CMR Rustlers and the Big Sky Eagles.

Ladies First…

Big Sky girls will hop on the bus and make the icy trek over Rogers pace to take on the Lady Rustlers in Great Falls Thursday night. Big Sky went one and one against the Billings Schools last weekend, and fell Tuesday night against Butte while CMR took one away from Glacier on Friday night, and then let a game slip away on Saturday as the Flathead Bravets beat the Lady Rustlers in Great Falls.

Both teams return strong role players with the Eagles looking to launch themselves past the Divisional tournament in 2019, and CMR brings a group to the table that are battled tested from hard play at the end of last season. Tip off from CMR high school in Great Falls is at 5:45 pm.

And Now The Boys…

The Eagle boys are under new leadership at the coaching position and after a tough start against the Hamilton Broncs Big Sky was able to walk away from the Billings games even at one and one. CMR brings back size and speed that is going to propel them through season as they have started off the 2018-2019 campaign with impressive wins over the Kalispell schools.

The game plan for the Eagles should be steady ball movement to control the pass of the game to keep the Rustlers size at bay on the offensive side of the court. Things tip off from Big Sky high school at 7:15 pm.
