Swimming
When you have one of the most dominate swim teams since the turn of the century in your back yard it makes for having a high bar to reach each season. Lucky for the Sentinel swim team they have the talent and the drive to compete with the top athletes in the state of Montana for a swimming title in 2018-2019. The Spartan swim program returns experienced talent on both the girls and boys swim teams that will give them a boost as they make a run for a state title in 218-2019.
Wrestling
A team that has been making noise in MHSA Class AA wrestling consistently is the Sentinel Spartans who have found success on the mat since MCPS became a two school district. The Spartans have built their wrestling legacy off of hard work in the off season to ensure that they stay consistent on the mat during the regular season. Watch out for the Spartans in 2018-2019 as they return a hardy bunch of wrestlers who have state tournament experience that will give Sentinel chance at a state title.
Girls Basketball
One of the most impressive accomplishments that the Sentinel girls basketball program has been is their ability to reload the program with highly skilled players. The Spartans are coming off back to back appearances in the Class AA girls state title game with the return of an underclass group that saw quality minutes off the bench the last two seasons. Despite losing a cool headed force in the paint and a ball handling leader Sentinel will be the cream of the crop in Class AA girls basketball in the 2018-2019 season.
Boys Basketball
Over the past three seasons the Spartan boys basketball program has become a team in Class AA basketball to watch out for. Sentinel has found themselves in the postseason the last two seasons with the help of one of the top perimeter players that Class AA boys basketball has seen. In the 2018-2019 season the Spartans will need to find a new leader to take them deep in the postseason, and with a skilled returning group Sentinel may have more than one player step up to lead the team.
