Lady Bengals Run Away From Lady Eagles

To tip off the final week of play on the prep basketball court the Big Sky girls played host to the Helena Lady Bengals in a game that was a run away as the Lady Bengals wound cruse to a 72-24 win over Big Sky.

Right from the jump Helena took charge and began to edge away from Big Sky as the Lady Bengals would knock down a trio of three pointers to open the game. Taking a chapter from the Sentinel girls book Helena used a press to suffocate Big Sky on the inbound after the Lady Bengals scored to hold the Lady Eagles to four points in the opening quarter, and 12 in the first half.

With twin towers in the key Helena made it tough for Big Sky to make any play inside, making the Lady Eagles a one denominational team shooting low percentage shots on the perimeter. Big Sky senior Chasity Foote had the most success as Foote would knock down three shots from beyond the arc to make her the Lady Eagle scoring leader, but Helena’s attack combined with their suffocating defense prevented any chance for Big Sky to make a come back.
