Girls Basketball
We will lead with Class B basketball as the Loyola Breakers would play in the Western B Divisional tournament with a chance to be one of two teams represent the west at state one week from Wednesday. Loyola pulled Thompson Falls to open the tournament and handled the Lady Blue Hawks 65-25. That sent them to the semi-final round where they faced Anaconda steamed past the Lady Copperheads 55-39, earning the Breakers a trip to the championship game. The Breakers would face their conference nemesis Florence and despite the game remaining close the Lady Falcons would be crowned the Class B Western champions.

For Class AA girls basketball it was the the end of the regular season for the three Missoula schools. Big Sky would take on both Helena schools and would fall to both to finish out the season. Hellgate had a pair of dates with the Kalispell schools and finished the season on a good note with a win over Flathead. Sentinel finished their season against the Kalispell schools with Flathead on Thursday night and Glacier on Saturday to head into the AA Divisional this weekend.

Boys Basketball
Big Sky finished their season dropping their last two games of the regular season to the Helena teams. The Knights finished their regular season with the same dominance they started the season with by knocking off the Kalispell schools. Sentinel had a pair of games against the Flathead and Glacier schools and used the match ups to get ready for the divisional starting Thursday.

Loyola has been a lethal force in Class B boys basketball this season which landed them the top spot in Class B Western boys divisional basketball tournament. The Rams would take on the final team to make the topurnament in Florence and walked away from the Falcons 73-48, pairing the Rams against Deer Lodge in a semi-final game. After a tight first half Loyola stepped on the gas pedal to pass the Wardens to punch their ticket to the championship game against Bigfork, and the Viking would punch their ticket to state.
