Two Commit On Sentinel’s Signing Day
- Updated: December 18, 2019
Just in time for Christmas two of Sentinels supreme athletes made a commitment to play collegiate sports on Wednesday as Jaxon Lee and Emily Brinkman signed their letters of intent in front of their family, coaches, and friends.
Jaxon Lee burst onto the Missoula football scene in the fall of 2019 as an energetic player who could be depended on in all three phases of the game. After a season that was cut short one game shy of the Class AA championship, Jaxon made the decision to play football at the University of Montana. With the influence of his grandfather who has been a life long Griz fan Lee decided to stay home, “I always thought I would be a Griz, MSU started to recruit early and I thought I was going to be a Cat until the day I committed, the Griz felt right and that’s what I wanted most”.
Under the tutelage of one of the elite volleyball coaches in the state of Montana Emily Brinkman has shown her metal on the court impressing fans all the way through her high school career at Sentinel. After witnessing the Spartans win the state title in 2017, and missing the postseason 2018, Brinkman dug in and worked to propel Sentinel back into the postseason in 2019. After a tough out to in the tournament Emily focused on her next step and decided to commit to Providence in Great Falls, “At first I wanted to go out of state, but after considering colleges that had engineering I found it was tough to leave the state so I decided to go to Providence.”
