Weekly Prep Spotlight 10/16

This week in prep sports Missoula will be home to one of the top highlights in prep volleyball each season as the Missoula County Public Schools will host the Missoula Volleyball Invite. Volleyball teams throughout Western Montana will descend on the Missoula Valley this coming Thursday and Friday to play in the two day die hard volleyball event.

The Sentinel Spartans are the reigning 2017 Class AA volleyball state champions who are playing an epic season in 2018 dominating their opponents with consistent play. For the Hellgate Knights it’s a second season under the guidance of Matty Hancock, a coach that falls right into the Knight philosophy of sports and that is to have fun first, winning comes second. Big Sky has been learning a new way to play volleyball under first year head coach Mathem Pimentel who has leaned on the leadership of his seniors to help make the coaching transition.

Matches will begin Thursday morning at 9:30 am and will be played throughout the day, with the final matches being played Friday morning starting at 9:00 am. Please contact either Big Sky, Hellgate, or Sentinel for full schedule details.
