2-0 Over The Lakers

The Missoula Mavericks Legion Baseball team would sweep the Kalispell Lakers in the two game series with a 9-8 win Wednesday night.
The Mavericks would get started early earning three runs in the opening inning and they would off the Lakers until the top of the fifth when Kalispell would tie it up at three. Missoula would add five runs in the bottom of the eighth to make it 9-7, and the Lakers would make it interesting adding a run in the ninth, but Dylan Barkley would save the game with expert pitching from the mound.
The Mavericks will take to the road Thursday to play the Coeur D’Alene Lumberman for a late season non-conference game.
