Mavericks Breakout Brooms

The Missoula Mavericks finished out their 2017 regular season with a 7-6 win over the Lethbridge Elks Saturday to sweep the series.
Missoula would get on the board first earning with a run in the top of the third, and the Elks would answer with four runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. Each team would hang a run up in the sixth which would give the Mavs momentum going into the seventh when Missoula would earn four runs to take a 6-5 lead. The two teams would earn a run in the ninth, but it would not be enough for the Elks and the Mavs would sweep their series in Alberta.
The Mavericks will come home and rest for a few days before the Montana Alberta AA State Tournament in Bozeman 7/26 – 7/29.
