Big 6th Leads To Big Win

The Missoula Maverick American Legion Baseball team kicked off a two game home stand with the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs tonight with a dominating 16-1 win tonight in seven innings.
The Monarchs would strike first earning their only run in the first inning. Medicine Hat would hold off the Mavericks until the bottom pf the third when Missoula would earn four runs of their own. Dylan Barkley would continue to blank the Monarchs from the mound as the Mavericks would begin to add runs in the following innings. To put a cap on the game, the Mavericks would earn eight runs in the bottom of the sixth to seal the win.
Game two of the stand between Medicine Hat and Missoula will be played Sunday, with first pitch set for 12:00.
