After one season a the helm of the Big Sky Lady Eagles basketball program, Jordan Hansen stepped down in early March, leaving an opening for a new coach. On Tuesday it was announced that Big Sky will have a new leader at the helm of the program in Jordan Featherman.
Featherman is an alumni of Big Sky, graduating as an Eagle in 2007. Jordan would leave Missoula for a brief time to spread his wings and found himself coaching a junior high girls team in Woodenville Washington. Over the five seasons at Woodenville Featheman would lead the girls to a 44-6 record.
The Big Sky alum will will take over a team that is in the process of rebuilding in order to make a mark in Missoula basketball, as well as Montana Class AA girls basketball. Featherman gains an experienced team who will have seven upcoming seniors, and a talented younger squad to kick start the program.
