Bravettes Take One Away From Hellgate

The sixth place Flathead Bravettes made their way to Missoula Thursday night to play the fifth place Hellgate Lady Knights and the Bravettes left with a season sweep on the Lady Knights.

In the first game between the two teams on January 27th the Bravettes picked up a 33-31 win and Hellgate looked to get even on their home turf. The Lady Knights came out with a mission to get a big win and solidify their spot in the Class AA Divisional in Helena in two weeks by out shooting Flathead 17-11. Flathead bounced back in the second quarter to take the quarter 11-4 over Hellgate and the two teams were separated by four points at the break,

The third quarter was all about defense as the Bravettes only scored from the free throw line and the Lady knights earned tow points on the quarter with a 26 26 tie. It would be Sadie Wilson and Clara Vandenbosch who took over the game for the Bravettes, going 6-8 from the freer throw line. Hellgate tried battle back in the closing minutes of the game, but the Flathead lead was to much to overcome and Flathead picked the win, sweeping the Lady Knights on the season.

The Lady Knights will now head to Kalispell on Saturday to play the Glacier Lady Wolfpack.
