Clark Fork Ends Valley Christian’s Season At 13C District

In a loser out battle Saturday morning at the 13C District Tournament in Frenchtown the Valley Christian Eagles would come up short in their game against Clark Fork to finish with a 52-46 lose to end their season.

Valley Christian jumped out to start the game and held the lead for the majority of the game. Ty Messner went to work early in the paint, forcing his way to the free throw line to keep the Eagles a step ahead of Clark Fork. By the time the half time break came Valley Christian had put up a good fight on both ends of the floor to control the scoreboard despite Clark Forks size advantage in the key.

Down by six to start the third quarter Clark Fork came out looking to chip away at the Eagle lead with perimeter shooting. Slowly as the quarter wore on Clark Fork whittled away at the small deficit and by the time the final frame rolled around the momentum swung in favor of Clark Fork. The Eagles tried to pull back ahead of Clark Fork on multiple runs, but solid defense held off any Valley Christian assault, paving the way to a Clark Fork victory to advance in the loser out bracket.
