Big Sky        6-2
Loyola         5-3
Sentinel       4-3
Hellgate       0-8

Week eight in Missoula high school football had a split of road and home games that had playoff implications for three of the four teams and the top team in the state in the Garden City.

The Big Sky Eagles hit the road Friday night to play a Bozeman Hawks team who are playing in the middle of the pack in Class AA football while the Big Sky Eagles are soaring among the top ranks. Bozeman scored on their opening drive and the Eagles returned with a score on their first drive, and from their it seemed the team with the ball last would get the win. The two teams would go back and forth in the first half with Bozeman leading 25-22 at the break. It would not be until the forth quarter before any points where put on the board when Big Sky went a on a run beating the Hawks 36-31.

Loyola hosted the third ranked team in Class B football in the Bigfork Vikings in a battle that might see them play each other once again in the postseason depending on the outcome. The first quarter was a battle between the thirties with each team scoring a touchdown on a single play in the second quarter. Coming out of the half tied at seven the Rams made the proper adjustments and put the hammer down running the ball down the Vikings throat and scoring off an interception to get a huge 30-14 win over the Vikings.

The Sentinel Spartans hoped on the bus and headed east to Billings Friday night to play the West Golden Bears with possible postseason implications on the line. Sentinel came out with a touchdown off the legs of Elias DeWaters and then the Spartans would create a safety to give them a 9-0 lead at the half. The second half was a different tail as the Golden Bears came out and scored a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 14-9 lead. The two teams battled through the fourth quarter, but in the end Sentinel would fall to West 14-9.

The Hellgate Knights found themselves hosting the number one team in Class AA football in the state of Montana, the Senior Broncs. Senior played a consistent methodical game and the Knights put up a fight defensively, but the will of the Broncs would be to much for Hellgate. Senior held a 28-0 lead over Hellgate at the half and the Knights were not able to find the end zone until the forth quarter to fall to the Broncs 35-8.
