Garden City Classic

The Sentinel Spartan wrestling team will host the Garden City Duels today with the Big Sky Eagles and the Hellgate Knights coming to the house to participate.

The Sentinel Spartans held the city title for nine years before Big Sky took home the city championship last year. The Spartans are loaded with talent to try and bring the title back to the halls of deep purple and gold. Sentinel is lead by experienced talent that are challenged by their underclassman counter parts.

The Big Sky Eagles are under the leadership of a new coach, but the wrestlers are familiar with coach Morena as he has been on the coaching staff at Big Sky for the past few seasons. The Eagle roster is stocked with gristled talent who are set to defend their city title from 2017 and use the win as momentum going into the later part of the season.

The Hellgate Knights are coming off a match Thursday night against the Glacier Wolfpack and are using their mat time during the week as momentum for a strong showing at the duels. With a thick crop of talent the Knights that have the ability to push for a strong finish in the final weeks of the season.

Varsity matches begin at 7:30 pm at Sentinel High School.
