Valley Christian would have a first today as Colton Becker would be the first Eagle to sign a letter of intent to play college football in the programs brief existence.
Becker will head East this fall to play football for Dakota College in Bottineau, North Dakota. The duo threat made All-Conference on both sides of the football for Valley Christian in the fall of 2016 and has been a starter for the past two seasons. Last fall Becker would help the Eagles earn a 5-3 record which gave them their second playoff appearance in the programs second season. In his two year career as an Eagle he has racked up 336 points, 42 rushing touchdowns, 11 passing touchdowns, and three defensive touchdowns. Becker is also among the top tacklers in the programs history books.
The 6′ 180 pound athlete will use his dual threat ability for the Lumberjacks as a strong safety and slot receiver this fall. Dakota College is part of the North Star Athletic Association that is part of the NAIA, and plays in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference, MCAC.
Becker and Fellow Eagle Jordan Kelley will head to Custer Montana for the 6-Man All-Star game on June 3rd to finish out his high school football career.
