In the third girls game of the Class B Western Divisional Tournament the Florence Lady Falcons would roll past the Mission Lady Bulldogs in 65-37 win.
Relying on their defense the Flacons came out to clip any chance that Mission might have had to upset the top seeded team in the tournament as Florence would keep the Lady Bulldogs off the scoreboard untill three minutes left in the first quarter. Suffocating the key with a strong presence on both ends of the court the Falcons found scoring opprotunities on second chance points to surge ahaed of Mission. When the buzzer would sound to signal the end of the first half Florence had built up a 23 point lead, mostly coming off finding Rilee Mangun open on the back door.
Sporting a hefty lead to start the third quarter Florence went back to controling the game by holding the ball until the high percantage shot presented itself. With a commanding lead Coach Zeiler started working in his bench players mid way through third quarter, some of which coming up off the C squad to play in the tournament. Florence had built up the lead to just short of 40 points before Mission sparked thier offense and chipped the away at the Florence Florence advantage, but with the game closing out it was to late for the Lady Bulldogs and Florence came away with the win to move on to the semi-final game on Friday night.
