Bitterroot Red Sox “B”       5

The Missoula Pioneers found success early against the Red Sox “B” squad earning a run in each of the six innings palyed. The third and fourth innings where the most productive for the Pioneers as they would earn three runs in the in the third, and four in the fourth. Bitterroot fought back in the bottom of the fifth with four runs, and added a run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Pioneers consistent scoring was to much for the Red Sox and Missoula picked up a win.

South of Missoula the Missoula Aces played Whitefish and Whitefish’s bating kept the win out of reach for the Aces. Missoula found themselves on the scoreboard in the first frame, but Whitefish stone walled the Aces until the fourth when the Missoula scored their second and final run. For Whitefish it was consistency both at the plate and on the mound as Jake would strikeout five batters while on the bump for Whitefish, while Holter struck out four for the Aces.

Missoula Mud Dawgs 12U     8

On a partly cloudy day in Stevensville The Mud Dawgs 12U hosted South Valley B and the Mud Dawgs earned the win off solid base running and top notch pitching. Both teams blanked in the opening inning, and matched each other in the second with a pair of runs. Things looked to be going South Valley’s way as they would earn a run in the third and fourth innings, but the Mud Dawgs came back with three runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings to seal the victory for Missoula.

Whitefish handed the Missoula Mud Dawgs 12U team a shutout on Saturday afternoon with Jake leading the way on the mound as he would not allow a run off the three its he allowed in the three innings he pitched while striking out six batters he faced. For the Mud Dawgs it was Cartwer T., Luke T., Dillin T., and Chris C. who had the most success for Missoula as each went 1-2, while Jacs B. went 1-3 from the dish. Jace’s hit resulted in the only double of the game for Missoula, while Jake matched him with a double for Whitefish.

Bitterrot and the Missoula Aces 12U met on the diamond on Saturday and the Aces would blank Bitterroot, coming one hit away from serving up a no hitter. Taylor J. had the call to throw for the Aces and he would stand tall on the bump striking out four batters and walking one in the 36 pitches he threw. The heavy bat for the Aces was Holter S. who went 2-3 with a pair of runs and two RBI’s, Weston M. went 2-2 with three runs and an RBI for Missoula, and Taylor J. had a good day from the plate going 2-3 with two runs and an RBI.
