The Loyola Rams and Breakers finished out their regular season on the road Saturday with a pair of wins over the Corvallis Blue Devils, the Rams with a 1-0 win, and the Breakers capped the day off with a 3-1 win.
The Rams started the day out against the Blue Devils and the two teams would spend the first half of the game felling each other out, combining for a total of 5 shots on goal. The boys switched sides of the field at the half with the scoreboard showing a pair of goose eggs, tied at 0. The Rams wasted no time to put themselves on the board when Gharret Diehl volleyed the ball into the box and Jack Lincoln connected to put the ball in the back of the net in the 34th minute to get the score and secure the win.
With the Breakers securing a spot in the postseason a week earlier the Loyola girls wanted to play a consistent game to prepare them for bonus soccer in Class A play. Team leader Tessa Burke wasted no time to put the Breakers in control as she scored in the 38th minute of the first half. The girls went into half time with the Breakers leading 1-0, but the Breakers would not be done as Cecily Benson scored in the 18th minute, and Megan Neuman capped the day with a score in the 9th minute.
The Breakers will find out what their future holds in the postseason Monday.
