The second day of 2018 Missoula Mavericks Memorial Tournament would get its full schedule in on Friday with the Missoula Mavericks taking on the Central Washington Spuds in the final game of the day and the Mavericks would hold off the Spuds in the final inning to seal the deal.

Thomas Martin was called to the mound to start the game for Missoula and the young gun would show off his muster striking out a batter, walking a batter, and not allowing any runs until the the fifth when the Spuds scored five, four of which where credited to Thomas. His older brother James would slide to mound from second base to close the game, getting the save for his younger bother.

From the plate it would be a team effort to earn runs as Connor Daniels led Missoula going 2-4 with a pair of runs, and third baseman Tradd Richardson continued on running the table on the RBI stat, earning one and a run while going 2-4 at the Designated Hitter spot in the lineup. Dane Fraser went 2-4 with a run, and Beau King pitched in going 1-2 with a run and a hit.

The Mavericks will have a doubleheader Saturday with the 5:00 and 7:30 games.
