The Missoula Mavericks would host their annual Memorial Day Weekend Tournament over the weekend and it would be a weekend of memories. A variety of Montana/Canadian Legion Division teams, and one from the west would make their way to the Garden City for a weekend of baseball. Games would be played at both Lindborg-Cregg Field and at Ogren Park with teams competing at both the AA and A levels
It would be a pair of veteran squads in the Great Falls Chargers (3-1) and the Vauxhall Jets (3-1) that would make their way to the championship game on Monday night. After a full seven innings of heated action on the diamond at Ogren Park, the Chargers would find their way to the victory circle and taking the tournament title with a 7-4 win over the Jets.
The Mavericks next tournament will be June 22-25.
