Missoula Swimmers Open The Season With Dominance

The Missoula prep swimmers launched their season on Saturday when they went to Kalispell and dominated the Kalispell Invite in both the girls and boys programs.

This seasons crop of swimmers return battle tested with 120 individuals jumping into to the pool representing Missoula, with Hellgate’s Katharine Berkoff who is one of the top backstroker’s in the nation. Berkoff, who leads a group of swimmers that include state champions and All Americans, recently committed to swim for the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Starting the season off at the Kalispell Invite on December 1st the five Missoula schools picked up where they left off last season as the Hellgate boys and the Sentinel girls stood at the top of the podium, and the Hellgate girls and the Sentinel boys finished in the second place slot.

The Missoua swimmers will head to Butte this weekend to swim at the Butte YMCA before they come home on December 15th to host the Helena schools, Butte, and Bigfork at the Grizzly pool.
