Baseball

  • In 2000 at the Canadian Open Women’s Golf (du Maurier Classic), Meg Mallon wins by 1 from Rosie Jones

  • In 1919 American thoroughbred racehorse Man o’ War’s only defeat (Upset wins at Saratoga)

Olympics

  • In 1936 Americans Dorothy Poynton-Hil and Velma Dunn take the gold and silver medals in the 10m platform diving at the Berlin Olympics

Soccer

  • In 1988 US beats Jamaica 5-1 in 2nd round of 1990 world soccer cup
