Spartans Sweep Eagles In Final Crosstown Game Of Season

In the final crosstown game on the hardwood of the season the Sentinel boys played host to the Big Sky Eagles with the Spartans getting a lop sided 61-36 win.

Both teams where coming off games against the Hellgate Knights where the clock would run due to the mercy rule. Sentinel looked to bounce back from their loss to the Knights with a big win over the Eagles and the game started out in that fashion. Sentinel pushed the ball hard in the first half which allowed the Spartans to out score Big Sky 22-6 in the opening frame.

With 37-15 lead to open the second half Sentinel kept the flow of the game at a grueling pace the kept the Eagles from settling into their game, in turn silencing Big Sky’s three point game. Finally in the fourth quarter the pace of the game would slow down to allow Big Sky to play their game and the Eagles would close the deficit, but the Spartans flexed their muscle and knocked down threes on three trips down the court to seal the win.
